Privacy Policy

This policy explains what ronangupta.com (the "Site") does with information about you. The short version: the Site is a personal portfolio run by Ronan Gupta ("I", "me"). It has no accounts, no forms, and collects nothing about you directly.

1. What I collect

Nothing on my own. The Site has no sign-up, login, comments, or contact form. If you email me, I keep the email so I can reply.

2. Analytics, only if you say yes

When you first visit, a banner asks whether the Site may use Microsoft Clarity. If you choose "Sure", Clarity records how visitors use the page: pages viewed, clicks, scrolling, mouse movement, screen size, browser, and rough location from your IP address. It also sets cookies to tell visits apart. Clarity may produce session recordings and heatmaps that I look at to improve the Site. Microsoft's own privacy statement covers how Microsoft handles that data: privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.

If you choose "No thanks", or make no choice, Clarity never loads. You can change your choice at any time on the cookies page.

3. Third parties the Site talks to

• Cloudflare hosts the Site. Like any host it sees your IP address and request logs in the course of serving pages.
• Microsoft Clarity, analytics, only after you accept (see above).
• Spotify provides the music player. It loads only after you accept cookies or click "Load player". Once loaded, Spotify's player sets its own cookies under Spotify's privacy policy.
• mcsrvstat.us answers a request for the RoKingdom server's player count. Your browser makes that request directly, so mcsrvstat sees your IP address. It sets no cookies.

Fonts, icons, video, and images are served from the Site itself, not from third-party CDNs.

4. Sharing

I do not sell, rent, or trade information about visitors. Data that reaches the providers above is governed by their policies and I share nothing further.

5. Retention

I keep nothing myself except emails you send me. Clarity keeps session data for the period Microsoft sets, currently up to thirteen months for some data.

6. Children

The Site is not directed at children under 13 and I do not knowingly collect information from them. Analytics loads only after an explicit choice.

7. Other projects on this domain

Some of my projects live on subdomains of ronangupta.com. Where a project has accounts or collects data, it has its own policy shown in that project.

8. Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a new date.
